In a day and age when National Battlefields and State Parks yield to political pressure, the Re-enactor is hard pressed to find functional land in which to hold re-enactments. Tom Doss of The Army of Tennessee and Rick Revel of Heritage Keepers of America have come together to try and find remedy to this situation. The answer comes in a new concept called Battleground U.S.A.

Battleground U.S.A. is a program that brings the re-enactor and private land owner together in a joint effort to produce and promote battle re-enactments and other historical re-creations. The private lands are often adjacent to or near actual battle site locations, with some on rare occasions, being the actual place where the historical event took place.

With two successful national events under his belt (The 140th and 145th Shiloh), Tom Doss has come together with heritage preservationist and fellow re-enactor Rick Revel to forge a new direction in re-enacting. The ultimate goal is to have re-enactors and spectators alike feel as if they have gone back into time to a day that went down in history.

The mission of Battleground U.S.A. is simple, we want to bring the land owner and re-enactors together, so the memory of those who fought for their country will not fade into the pages of a history book. Join us at a Battleground U.S.A. event, "Where Heroes and Legends Come To Life".
